Eligibility Criteria

For the Post of Principal:

1. Educational Qualification:

a) Master’s Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks.
b) B.Ed degree from a recognized University.

2. Experience:

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in any Government / Semi Government / Government recognized /Private reputed CBSE/SEBA affiliated Senior Secondary (10+2) School / College including JNV/KV.

3. Age:

A candidate must not be more than 45 years of age as on 1st January, 2023.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

a) Good communication skills in English, Hindi and local vernacular language.
b) Good interpersonal skills, management & leadership quality, administrative ability & integrity, and computer proficiency.

a. Minimum educational and professional qualifications for engagement of Post Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):

Sl. No.	Qualification Criteria
1	a) Post Graduate Degree in Arts from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
2	c) Post Graduate Degree in Science from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and d) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
3	In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd: 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. However, valid degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.
4	As Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE affiliated English medium secondary school, the candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
5	Apart from the competency in the Major subject, he/she must be proficient to teach two additional subjects.

b. Minimum educational and professional qualifications for engagement of Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):

1	a) A Graduate in Arts with Major (Honours) from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks and b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
2	c) A Graduate in Science with Major (Honours) from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks and d) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
3	In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd: 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. However, valid degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.
4	As Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE affiliated English medium secondary schools, the candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
5	Apart from the competency in the Major subject, he/she needs to have expertise to teach one additional subject and one language subject (Bodo in BTR; Bengali in Barak Valley and Assamese in Brahmaputra Valley).

c. Minimum educational and professional qualifications for engagement of Graduate Teacher (Hindi):

1	Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks and degree qualification with 55% marks or Post Graduate degree in Arts with 55% marks with Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks from any recognized University, Or BA with 55% marks and having Hindi as one of the subjects with 55% marks or Post Graduate in Arts with 55% marks provided that he has passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with 55% marks in Hindi.
2	B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed. degree only for the purpose of Hindi teaching).
3	In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd: 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement. However, valid degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.

d. Minimum educational and professional qualifications for engagement of Assistant Teacher (Arts & Science):

2	a) A Graduate in Science from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks and b) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
3	In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd: 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. f. Minimum educational and professional qualifications for direct recruitment in the post of Laboratory Assistant:
